PEX to galvanized

What is the right way to connect PEX to galvanized?

Have 1/2" galvanized, 1/2" PEX, want to connect the two.

The PEX threaded fittings appear to be brass, so I am guessing those can't be used on the galvanized without major corrosion problems.

Help?

The right way to connect?

Remove all galvanized. Anything else is just not going to turn our well.

True. But in the interim...

Galvanized climbs underground up to the street, under driveways and walls and garages and such, which is an expensive non-DiY job that's not likely to happen for a few years unless it goes. So for now we need a reasonable way to transition to PEX once in the house.

Brass and galvanized are fine together. Think of all the brass valves, including tub valves, used in galv. systems.
Use PEX x MIP or FIP adapters and get at it
