Thank so much to both of you for helping me thru this. Really appreciate it. Is it possible to get a rough drawing of what these two options look like? So I can compare them.

Re: P-Trap/Vent Question

Thanks! Makes perfect sense now. Really appreciate your time. Do they make the needed wye in 2"x2"x1-1/2 in that configuration or do I have to get an all 2" wye and add a reducing bushing to 1-1/2"?

Re: P-Trap/Vent Question

Can I ask you to show me a drawing of how you would do this? I would like to compare if you don't mind. I wouldn't even mind if you took one of my pics and drew something up. That will help me.

Re: P-Trap/Vent Question

Your going to have a wall on the left or the right of the shower you need to wrap to the wall place a tee on its back to vent vertically then go to your shower drain.
This is done to protect the vent from clogging with crap that drains carry. Their is no way to snake a vent without cutting a hole in the pipe. But you can snake a drain.
