Outdoor Spa / Hot Tub in Cold Climate

Hi All,

Wife and I have been thinking about getting a spa / hot tub. Not concerned about the up front cost so much as the operating costs. We live in NH, and it gets cold in the winter (especially the last two!). Obviously the two options are winterize it and close it for the winter (kind of defeats teh purpose to me) or keep it running all winter, at least enough to keep it unfrozen (until we want to use it).

So I'm curious if anyone has any first-hand experience with what kind of cost I might expect. Obviously this will vary WILDLY per application, but any first-hand experience would be appreciated. Just looking for DATA at this point.

In general I'm talking about a "portable" (standalone) 4-6 person spa.
