Need help tapping into floor cleanout

I built a wet bar in my basement and planned to tap into the floor drain/cleanout in the room behind it for the sink drain. However, the copper/brass (not sure) cleanout plug has roughly a 4" outer diameter, and the PVC piece I bought to screw into that has a 4" inside diameter. It's almost like the floor drain is 3.5", but the stores seem to only sell 3" or 4" (in PVC).

Here's a couple pictures showing the cleanout and the PVC pieces I'm trying to attach to it... http://imgur.com/a/SQ0Wy

Do these different types of pipes just not have a way to be jointed? Will I have to resort to one of those rubber boots (I really don't want to...)? Not quite sure what my options are at this point.

Thanks in advance.

Ya, sorry. It wouldn't let me post a link so I had to put a period in it.

I ended up ordering a Fernco donut (like a gasket) that I should be able to stick inside the cast iron pipe in the ground, and then a PVC pipe right down the center of the donut (works on compression). I should be receiving it today. I'll let you know how it goes.

I am not a pro, but I was under the impression that tapping into a cleanout is not legal.

It isn't. You have to maintain the cleanout and if the cleanout is a tee on its back your SOL.
