Merging two 3" waste pipes, etc

We are installing two toilets on the second floor of a new house and I have a couple of questions. The two toilets are about 25' apart, and both toilet drain pipes will drop about 16-18" (top of flange to center-line of pipe) below the toilet flange. (1) Can we use a 3-3-2 wye to run the 2" vent pipe off the VERTICAL part of the 3" drain line, or does the vent pipe need to run off of the horizontal run? If only off of the horizontal run, we will use a wye lying at 45 degrees from vertical.(2) Can you run the 3" drain pipe down at 45 degrees (for 5 or 6') to drop it, or is it necessary to drop vertically via a long-sweep 90? (3) Where the two, 3" drain pipes meet, can one drop into the other via a 3" T-wye, or should they join via a wye in the horizontal position? Make sense? Thanks. john

I was afraid of that. I'll get a pic up as soon as I get back from work. Thanks. john

I think we can forget the third question. Of course I can vent off the vertical line, using a sanitary T. Never mind. cheers. j

As for question 2, apparently a 45 degree drop is considered vertical in the code book and is fine.
