Low water pressure

Hi All,

We have low water pressure for our hot water. Runs very slow, would take a few minutes for hot water to reach the tap. This was caused because we changed the sink/tap and didn't know about the problem.

We now want to change the sink/tap again but we are not sure what will solve it. Would a 0.3 pressure tap solve this? I've seen 0.1's but these are very expensive. Any ideas

Thanks

Re: Low water pressure

Is this the only faucet with low pressure? A piece of trash may have fell into the line when the faucet was changed out restricting the flow.

Re: Low water pressure

Hi, Umm the other downstair hot tap seems fine and its just a normal tap. So you could be onto something, esp knowing the guy who changed it. Is there a best way to check it for someone with very little knowledge of these things? Or do I need a plumber?

Re: Low water pressure

I'd turn the shut off valves off under the sink, disconnect the supply line, set it in a bucket [have a towel handy] and then turn it on to see what the pressure is like. That may also flush out any trash.
