I'm looking at your pictures and see copper fittings screwed directly into the steel tank fittings. Research dialectic unions and why they're used.

I'm betting that if you remove the copper fittings from the top of the tanks you are going to see a large buildup of "junk" right at the steel fitting going into the tank. This blockage will allow air from the first tank to flow through quickly as the first tank fills, but once the water starts to try and go through it the flow will slow greatly, as you're experiencing.

So o managed to pull it apart and whada you know. Right where I thought the problem was, I say 95% blockage. We have a huge iron count in our water supply in my city (Calgary) so it only made sense that I was having buildup. This is what I found when I removed the pipe. My pipes are in shock and don't know what to do with all the added pressure. And not being a plumber I feel pretty proud of myself and my wife thinks I'm a god now :P Thanx for all the input from everyone. Low Hot Water Pressure-image-1622167891.jpg
