I cannot undo faucet handle to repair leak

Hi all, i have a leaky faucet and figured out which handle the leak is coming from when i turned the water off. Problem is i cannot figure out how to remove the handle. It doesnt have a screw embedded, i have tried twisting the top part of the handle, the base while holding the handle, and prying either top part or thee base. My guess is the base needs twisted because the design is similar to those that are removed that way, but i cant get it to twist by hand or with tape covered channel wrench. Has anyone seen this handle and give any tips please?

Welcome to the forums klinc

Looks like you have a lot of sediment build-up. Try some vinegar and baking soda or clr and scrub brush.

Sometimes that sediment can be a bear. Really makes things hard to remove.

Looks like you have some really hard water. You on a well?

Re: I cannot undo faucet handle to repair leak

If you know the manufacturer of the faucet IE: Kohler, Delta, Glacier Bay ETC.

You can go on line and look at all their pictures and pick out the one you have then look up the number from there and call or send the manufacturer the number or picture they will give you all the information you need. It's a pain but it works. I always deal with the manufacture's they are more than happy to assist and even send parts free many times. U Tube also works.

Will either one of the balls on the end of the handle turn. They may indeed be screws caps.

Or after you shut the valve, spin the faucet as if you were turning on the water but don't stop turning it.

After looking at the pictures again I thought I noticed something. On the back of the handle ( in the last image) it looks like a set screw unless it's just a image shadow.. Just sayin.
