how to fix Minor Leak in Drain pipe ?

I noticed today a a minor leak in the big black drain pipe ( see images ) where it is attached to basement wall .

Any idea what material shall I use to fix it ? Since there is water in it, I need something which can stick on watery surface.

Thanks in advance. Any help is appreciated .

Try some FlexSeal products as a fix, not a cure. .

Looks like a wall leak not a pipe leak. How deep is it on the outside? I would dig up the outside, clean and seal it.

Agree with greg. Try some flex seal.

It looks like silicone was used the last time. Probably worked for years. Not much you can do until your ready to fix it correctly. Imo, leak doesn't look that bad, I would just try the flex seal.

As far as a permanent fix; tough one. Looks like the pipe moved out of greenish housing going through the concrete by a good 1/4 inch or so. Possibly due to a settling issue. idk.

Stand by for more advice from the plumbers.

How deep in the ground is it? If it's not too deep, sealing it from the outside would be best.

Cleaning it up real good on the inside and wrapping with butyl rubber roll flashing would work as well if the flex seal gives you any trouble.

Thanks for reply. It is almost 4 to 5 ft below ground from outside. So I am preferreing to fix from inside.

Upon closer look it appears the black pipe passes through the foundation in a sleeve of green pipe. Clean as much of the old caulking/glue etc. off as you can and apply some new sealant. Squeeze as much as you can into the crack between the two pipes.

As others have already advised, that flex-seal does work very well.

Clean the area very well, of all the old silicone, dirt, water, and anything else.

Dry it well, and the spray can is the easiest to use, but they make other methods, if you want to try them, a liquid that you brush on, a caulk tube, and even a wide tape.

I was skeptical of the stuff, until I tried it, with nothing to lose but the price of a can, I tried it and my leak sealed, and has been trouble free for 4 years now.

I forgot to add, use a few thin coats, spaced out over a few days, instead of one thick coat, you will get better results that way.
