Re: Hot water lock out

Find out why it locked out and correct that first. Get manual and Check your error codes it usually tells you whats wrong. Flame sensor dirty, blocked air filter, exhaust issue, safety switch, etc.. Then reset it. All that info should be right in the owners manual on how to do it.

If no manual, post model number and someone will find it. Thanks.

[QUOTE=vr2016;3175409]Have AO Smith GPSH light codes say locked out, how do I reset?

Thanks- so another question if you can help much appreciated!

Lights say:
Problem--System in Lockout

Solution--1.Gas supply off or too low
2.hot surface ignitor not positioned correctly
3.low voltage
4.polarity incorrect

any suggestions--I changed the hot surface ignitor cause it wouldn't glow..
the screw lines up correctly... heater fan turns on and runs and glows for 20 seconds or so, 2-3 times before lights come on and stops....basically it never actually lights

thanks again!

Re: Hot water lock out

then try #1..gas issue...measure the gas pressure to see if there is a blockage or restriction somewhere..
