Should be easy to remove your disposal. It doesn't connect to the sink drain, it is the sink drain. Kill power to it, disconnect electric to the disposal, remove pumning from disposal to the wall. Different types of disposals connect to sink flange in different ways, some have a band with a clip others twist on. Figure out how the disposal motor is hanging from the sink drain flange and disconnect it. After that you need to remove the flange from the sink. Normally there is a large hex nut from the bottom. Get some large channel locks and remove that nut. Push the drain up. Clean it all up and buy a sink drain and P-trap kit and reinstall. Good luck
