Gas pipe adjust


Gas pipe adjust-image.jpg
Looking at adjustment of pipe that feeds gas there is a close/open tap currently closed and disconnected but sit too proud so need to adjust down is it as simple as loosen the nut and turn pipe lower and then tighten first post hope picture is visible thanks in advance

Cant tell from the pic. If there is a union the pipe can be adjusted. I dont usually see copper pipe used for gas lines. It looks like its soldered at the elbow.

Please wait for the plumbers to respond.

I'm visualizing a flare fitting at that location so your suggestion to loosen the nut to make the adjustment is what I would do.

Someone is gonna have to open up that wall
to shift where the pipe penetrates through...
and properly supports all their work.

The cab will need to pulled too.

If you are not using this gas line to feed an appliance, it looks to me that you can remove everything beyond the shutoff ( leave the shutoff) and put a threaded plug in the shutoff. Would that accomplish what you are trying to accomplish?
