gas firebowls not lighting

Hello to all,

Not sure if this is a plumbing type issue or other....

Have 2 firebowls and the are not lighting. When I turn them on, I hear the igniter clicking every 3-4 seconds and making a spark. Both firebowls are doing the same. I don't think that gas is getting there bc I do no smell anything. The make and model is the Grand Effects Copper Essex Firebowl

I have made sure the gas is turned on at both units, and that the gas is turned on at the meter/regulator. we have three gas runs: to fireplace, gas grill and firebowls. I was able to turn the gas on at the f-place and the gas grill. Also valve switches are the same for all 3 units.

The firebowls have a separate electrical box that comes off the main pool breaker. The 15amp breaker is turned on - it has a reset button and I've hit it a couple of times. I'm getting spark, just not getting gas.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Here's a close-up of the igniter, then an over all pic? The last time it worked was about 3-4 months ago. I tried them about 2-4 weeks ago and no go. we have covers for them that are on them 99% of the time.

thank you and pls advise - tstex

When trouble shooting situations such as yours, whether it be gas, liquids, electrical or other, we often start at the location it should be but is not and work backward to a point to where it is and the problem usually lies between those two points.

Ok, thanks Senior.

Do you have a suggestion on what I should do at the "location of where it should be" but it is not?

Thank you very much - tstex

Re: gas firebowls not lighting

With the gas supply closed to the 2 fire bowls, begin breaking out connections working backwards until you get gas when the supply is turned on momentarily. The first connection to disconnect will be there at the fire bowls I would think.
