Garden Hose bibb under sink (1/2" nom comp)?

Garden Hose bibb under sink (1/2" nom comp)? Setting up a fish tank. I would love to run a garden hose to it from my kitchen. Don't want to tie it to the sink faucet. I see a copper pipe coming out from the wall. Looking for a Tee?

Why would you not want to connect it up to the faucet?
A simple, cheap, adaptor will do it.
We can not see what your seeing under that sink without a picture.
Going to be a whole lot more work and materials to do it that way for something that's going to be seldom used.

Hmmm because my faucet does not have allow me to make the connection and last time I did that years ago, water splashed everywhere because it was not a secure screw tight connection.

Actually putting together a 80 gallon aquarium in a wet bar. Sink and faucet are removed and if I can run a garden hose from under the sink, changing water is a lot easier.

Any faucet has an aerator that can be unscrewed and converted to a garden hose connector.

Still want to connect it to the copper pipe under the sink main water needs to be shut off, water drained out of the line, tee needs to be soldered in the line, a short piece of copper pipe soldered to the tee, a brass ball valve solder to it, a copper 1/2" to garden hose connector soldered to that.

Re: Garden Hose bibb under sink (1/2" nom comp)?

Just need a Tee with 1/2" nom comp for the inlet, 3/8" compression to the supply line, and 1/2" NPT to a hose bibb. No need to solder. So far I could not find such tee.
I now have no faucet installed and that faucet I had, like many other, has no aerator.
I have no problem turning off the main and no problem opening up the faucet at the lowest point of the house so as to drain all water before I take things apart.

I am assuming you know your fishtank but running tap water with chlorine and winter cold will mean instant death to your fish.

I have under sink water filter. I changed the valve with double outlet valve. There are double shut off valves. I think you can go from 3/8 flex supply line to a garden hose. Pick up a hose end replacement and shut off valve, and take it to plumb parts for the transition parts.

Ok. No such Tee adapter. I had to solder. Just need a copper Tee, 1/2" copper to MPT (Male Pipe Thread) adapter, and a few inches of 1/2 copper tubing. That was it.

Your bib needs a vacuum breaker to meet code and to protect your drinking water
