Flushometer selection?

Sorry for another urinal post, but I'm looking to pull the trigger today on a flushometer for a 0.5gpf washout urinal.

I never realized before that there were different flush types for urinal's (washout, siphon jet, blowout, etc). The flush valve I'm looking at doesn't mention anything (other than being 0.5gpf).

So does the difference between urinal's just come from the porceline fixture itself? Or do the flush valves come designed for different use?

The urinal you purchase should specify the Gallon flush it needs in it's specifications.

You get the porcelain and buy the valve they recommend for the flush based on the porcelain GPF

Okay, so there aren't any special "blowout" flush valves? As long as the GPF matches I'll be fine?

I'm looking to match the Sloan 995-0.5 to the Toto ut104ev

The toto recommends specific flush valve manufacture. Safer to stick to that.

What do you think the toto does special compared to the Sloan? Different flow rate?
