Fluidmaster 3" flapper seal

Does anyone sell the seal "alone" to fit a Fluidmaster 5403 or 3" flapper valve?

Check amazon.com or a local plumbing supply store. you can buy just the seal for $2.43.

Re: Fluidmaster 3" flapper seal

Thanks! That's the part I found once and couldn't find it later on.

Not sure about local plumbing supply as I asked about a globe valve gasket and was told they don't sell parts just the whole valve.

Re: Fluidmaster 3" flapper seal

Funny, that seal is an add-on item only from Amazon so I ordered one on eBay for a little more. It came today delivered by USPS in a Amazon packet just like Amazon Two Day Prime. Crazy....

I had a Fluidmaster 3" kit so I actually took the flapper valve from it to fix the toilet. The Keeney seal is different, it's thicker, larger OD and there is a ridge near the ID that's not on the Fluidmaster OEM seal.

If you face the ridge toward the flapper's seat it will go on, a bit more taught because the ridge stops it from going in the slot anymore but feels like it's laying flat and should work.

If Keeney sells the seal only for theirs why doesn't Fluidmaster?
