Fitting a new toilet in first floor, what do I need

I'm going to fit a new toilet in ex-laundry room (none there before), I want to run the drain into the main basement cast iron vertical drain. What do I need to do it?

I have looked all over for an example but there doesn't seem to be anything out there.

A layout of your proposed bath. The state you reside in so we know what plumbing code to use. Some measurements of space and how the joist lie below the floor.

Also where a 3 inch or larger drain exist to get to.

Google sanitary T and Wye. Your code may allow either to connect to your 4" vertical.
