Drain line into Cleanout pipe

I'm trying to install a water softener and I have to run the drain line which carries salty water. The easiest way for me to do this is to run a host into the cleanout pipe outside of the garage since I don't have any drain lines near the garage.

Is this ok?

What adapter do I need to run a 1/2 host into the Cleanout?

I would not recommend a direct connection between water you drink and the stuff you flush. Not safe.
