Correct plumbing from well tank

I have heard conflicting claims about what plumbing is necessary from the well pressure tank to the house. Do I have to use galvanized pipe or can I use PEX, Poly Pipe? My tank is in the crawl space.

Re: Correct plumbing from well tank

Ayuh,..... My well starts at the bottom with the submersible pump to 1" black ploy pipe up to the well head to the switch, 'n pressure tank,....
It then splits, 1 line(black poly) goes just under 100' to the house, the other line(black poly) goes to the garage/ office,....
In the house, it comes into another pressure tank, 'n then through-out the house with a mix of gal. pipe, copper pipe, 'n pex,...
In the garage/ office it goes to 'bout center, 'n pops up as a frost-proof hydrant, which is hose connected to the copper plumbin' through-out,...

If I were to do it over again, black poly pipe goes in the ground, 'n pex goes in the buildin's,....
