I have about 20 feet of 3/4 inch pipe supplying 1/2 pipe to furnace and 1/2 inch pipe to hot water heater.
The house used to have a 1/2 inch pipe supplying dryer and 3/4 inch pipe ran to what I think was a gas stove. both of those line have been plugged up.
I would like to tap into the existing pipes and convert electric stove to gas.
Should I tap into 3/4 inch main supply or can I use the old 1/2 inch supply line that used to supply the dryer?
Also, can I assume that because there used to be other appliances using gas that the supply is enough?
Please describe the pipe system a bit better. As in what is tied in where, and what is common. The 3/4 is probably the better choice.1/2 is a bit small unless you're stove is fairly small and/or close to the main line.
