Broken toilet flange

Is there any tips you can give me on replacing this. I was installing new toilets in my girlfriends house and the flange on the one was broken. I've replaced many toilets in my life but never a flange. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d42d630e70.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...10ab237582.jpg

Thank you. Thank you all. Great help. If there weren't 5 different types of flanges I would have skipped that. After googling for 30 minutes with no good answer let me ask this. Hopefully Google it isn't the answer. It's a pvc flange with a metal ring. Clearly the metal ring it corroded. Cutting out the old pvc seems like a pain. Could this be fixed with one of those stainless steel repair rings or should I get cutting and hope for the best.

Ayuh,..... Once ya get the rotten ring off, 'n clean up the mess, You can decide whether the plastic is unbroken, 'n serviceable,.....

If the plastic is Ok, go to the replacement type bolt ring, 'n finish the job,.....

The story goes, ya take things apart, til ya get to serviceable parts, then replace the stuff ya took out,.....

If ya gotta replace the Pvc, look into internal cutters,....
Is there access from below,..??

I was able to get the corroded ring off after a bit of work. All the screws were corroded and stripped. The PVC is in great condition. I finally found a video of just replacing the ring. I think this is the route I am going to do for now. I can get to it from below if I remove the insulation and drop ceiling in the basement. I didn't look into it that far. I could have likely got it done tonight but the hardware store closed at 5, ugh.. small towns.

Small towns are such a pain. Did you phone them and ask if they would put the parts at the back door?
