Which brand of water heater

I am having to replace our 20+ yr old Rheem propane hot water heater. The two that are available in store are A.O. Smith (Lowes) and Rheem (Home Depot). Is there one better than the other. I have heard A.O. Smith is good, but like our said, the Rheem has lasted for over 20 yrs. This is an expensive buy so I want to make sure I spend our money wisely. Thanks for any advice.

Re: Which brand of water heater

Suggest that you review my comments on the post below.

A water heater is just a steel tank with either electric heating elements or a gas burner. I doubt that any water heater manufacturer makes either the heating elements or the burners.
I doubt there is an iota of difference between any of the brands and a steel tank is a steel tank.
