Bathtub draining slowly and can't get snake through

The drain to the tub has a side opening and I can only get about 6 inches of the snake through. Do I need to get a special type of snake because maybe it is a curved pipe?

Tried liquid plumber stuff? Worked great for me when i couldn't snake one of my drains. Situation was a bit different though. I used a while gallon of the stuff too.

What is that picture? Is it the overflow? If so, remove the outer cover to get better access and use a 1/4" cable.
Be sure there is not a stopper and linkage in there- you will have to remove it if there is.

Also, be very careful now that you have draino in there. Drain cleaners can burn you...

You snake through the overflow not the bottom drain of a tub.

I don't recommend using bleach around your pubic area. Could be painful!

Also if you are snaking through the overflow, you need to use a 1/4" snake because it is difficult to traverse the trap.
