Backing up again

So my tenants tub is backing up again which is on the ground floor about 15' from this trap. It seems like ever since we had our cesspool pumped about 3 months ago we've have a poop smelling odor and backing up periodically. I'm gonna rent a motorized snake to see if there's a clog. Input our hand snake down there last week and came up with some toilet paper etc and their tub drained and the water at the trap/pipe went down...but now it's happening again.

There's an upside down U that connects to the pipe so it's hard for things to get into there.

Re: Backing up again

I think he's asking about the trees because of roots.

Yes, a sewer line is like the fountain of youth to a tree root. Any little gap or crack and they find their way in. Hope that's not your problem.

No trees close by. I'm gonna try to snake main line then if no relief call is plumber. Leaves were from my blower.

Re: Backing up again

I hate to inform you that you have an unworkable idea trying to snake that vent pipe.

There should be a double cleanout on that, so you can snake both ways out to the tank, and back into the house.

Trying to snake that vent is going to be hard to do, if not impossible.

No problem. So what do you suggest I do or tell the plumber?
