Anything wrong w/ toilet drain?

Does anyone see anything wrong w/ this? The picture was taken from directly below and shows the drain for a toilet (drain #1) and the tail end of another drain (drain #2). Drain #1 and drain #2 join through the horizontal T-Y. The toilet is 7 pipe feet from the shower vent, which comes off of drain #2. Thanks. john

Your 2 inch vent must be a draining a vented fixture in that bathroom. Otherwise under IPC code it would be an illegal dry flat vent.

I'm not sure I follow what a "draining vented fixture" is. The 2" vent is rolled over at 45 degrees. That is how a plumber did it in the below-slab piping for the lower toilet, if I recall correctly. How should the 2" vent be oriented here? Thanks much. john

What Ghost means is that 2 vent inch line must have water draining through it via a sink, tub, etc., you need the secondary water to keep that vent and toilet line clean.

OK. I sort of figured that out last night, but thanks for confirming. Thus, I guess I need to lay that vent over flat then? Thanks. john

Re: Anything wrong w/ toilet drain?

The vent needs to go to your bathroom sink and pick it up with a vent off the top.

OK. Got it. Thank you. Will this WORK, though, even if it fails inspection? Changing all this right now will really cram us up; several months from now would be a lot more convenient. John
