64 Years

Yup....64 years my pipes have been draining the junk out of the kitchen sink...and dishwasher....and washing machine.

I had to tap into the 2" kitchen pipe to add a Prep sink. Since the old pipe was iron and steel, I had already planned on replacing it with ABS.

Looks like I made the right decision. Might explain why draining was not as fast as I thought it should be.

It took me 2 hours to clean out the 2' stub that drops into my 3" main.

I think it might be time to hire a plumber to scope my main to see what kind of shape it's in.

On a positive note.....the 3" is a straight shot to the street. All of the old stuff that drops into it has already been replaced.

Even if you are on the right track, you will still get run over if you just sit there.
