Hi

Hello I just signed up for an account this site's design is really throwing me off I usually know how to attach pictures from my computer to a forum but I can't seem to find it - so here we go!

I have a strange fireplace [a picture would probably so comment below if you have pointers on how to add them]. It is somewhat in a corner - the fireplace itself is more or less in the center of a small wall, but the entire corner and wall of the fireplace is flush brick painted a baby blue color, with a triangular section of small square tile under the fireplace.

My style is much more traditional and I find the whole thing violently ugly how do I create a more warm hearth feeling?

Re: Hi

Welcome to the forums Melly624. You just need a couple of post before you can post pictures or links.

EDIT: I see that you haven't replied to the activation email that you should have received when you joined. Take care of that step and you should be good to go.

Re: Hi

There are as many ideas as there are people in the world. If you want it warmer and more traditional try dumping the cold blue and go for a more neutral or warm tone on the brick. You might want to sandblast the brick depending on what is underneath. Perhaps add a slate or sandstone hearth.
