Hang stuff on walls

Hi, I've just moved to a new condo in Canada. It's a concrete-framed condo, but with standard drywall interior in the suite.

I've lived in a wood-framed house before, and whenever I needed to hang stuff (TV, photo frames, mirrors..etc), I would usually find the studs in the drywall to hang onto.

I'm curious what the drywalls are supported with in a concrete-framed condo typically? I've knocked on the walls to check, and I didn't seem to find studs behind the wall. Is that a typical construction for a concrete condo? If that's the case, how should I hang items on the walls?

Thanks for the help.

Re: Hang stuff on walls

I would suspect wood or metal studs, otherwise the concrete has to be cut to run electrical.
