Which vinyl plank is the best?

Which type of vinyl plank floating floor is the best?

I have a raised entryway that i intend to lay floating plank flooring on, and the floor surrounding the raised part will be laminate. I think the vinyl will be best because its waterproof, and there is no awning or covered porch at the moment. Which one do you recommend? Brand name? Im hoping to find one in dark stain hickory.

Im looking for durability and waterproof.

Is this inside or outside?
Got a picture?
Why planks and not just sheet goods? No seams and easyer to install.

Inside, right in front of the front door opening. You can see here, its the part right in front of the door, beside the skinny wall.

Ive never seen a sheet vinyl in a dark stain woodgrain design. Light oak, yeah. Dark walnut or hickory, no. Plus there is that little setback of the fact that if you get a hole in it, the whole sheet is trash. Individual planks, you can replace just the damaged plank

I have two houses with linolium floors in the kitchens that's been there for about 20 years and still look new. Just do not buy some cheap remnet.
Stip linolium once in place can not be repaired by just removing one piece. Once there stuck together.
Strip also needs room to expand and contract or the seams open up so you would have to add some form of transiton stip as a border.

Trailer, Did you ever determine which brands of vinyl plank to use? It sounds like I'm looking for a similar product for my basement and was curious about which brand you chose? Thanks
