Vinyl flooring coming up at seams

I have this laminated, vinyl flooring that is coming up at the seams. It is used in a bathroom where there is constant water and other liquids getting dropped on it. I know this is the cause of it raising, any ideas on how to prevent this from happening in such an environment?

Also, what is a good method to fix this? I've tried lifting up the floor a little and getting some Roberts floor adhesive under there and placing a heavy object on it for a day or two but it just keeps coming back up. The rubber padding underneath sits directly on top of the concrete floor.

See pictures.

Thanks!

Re: Vinyl flooring coming up at seams

Probably was installed too tight against the walls, and the constant contraction and expansion of the flooring is what is raising it.

all these types of floor need expansion room, because the phenomena occurs.

Any adhesive is probably shot by now so nothing is going to make it stick back down. Personally, I would start shopping for tile and figuring out what kind of flooring system structure you have in that room.

Re: Vinyl flooring coming up at seams

Floor glue that I know is like a contact cement. It is applied, let air dry until dry-tacky, then flooring. Your glue, if weight on top immediately, may not dry. Also, not enough. Expansion gap is important for vinyl but I'm not sure just how much for small space like a bath. Try commercial vinyl tile glue. It works by dry tack then cement together. Lift the vinyl, apply with a brush on both floor and the vinyl, about 1-2 hrs and test. If dry tack to finger, it's ready. You can also tape and caulk the jamb side joint and use a metal threshold over the door joint. Mineral spirit for clean up. Glue container will say water cleanup if quickly but it doesn't really work.
