Tile threshold - Can you make a 45 with it?

Hi All -

I'm tiling the sliding glass door entryway to my basement (poured concrete subfloor). This will be an area of about 7 x 4 feet.

Rather than making a simple rectangle entryway I want to clip off the corners and make more of a one sided hexagon.

Has anyone ever butted up two pieces of plastic threshold in order to make an angle like that? I'm concerned it won't look nice. Do you guys just cut the threshold on a 45 degree angle and butt them together?

I did 90 degree corners around my fireplace with just glue (liquid nails). You could use a biscuit to keep em together.
