Red Oak Floor install

I am starting to surface the red oak hardwood floor in the house I recently bought (all my background is on the introduction thread) The floor is in (3/4 X 2 1/4 planks). Going to drum sand it to get it nice and smooth because some of the joints are irregular. I was going to do 60 grit and 100 grit. Also using an edge sander. Then covering with Waterlox sealer/finish.

So, how does this plan sound? Do I have to do a separate buff with 100 or 150 or will the drum sander at 100 work? I figured that since I'm not grinding off an old surface I could go with the 60 and 100 grit.

Any and all suggestions and tricks to help me out are very welcome.
