Peeling Back Linoleum Flooring

I have to do a subfloor repair around a toilet and we're trying to avoid having to replace the entire linoleum floor. Any tricks to "peeling" it back without it tearing or crumbling so that I can just reglue it down? I've removed old linoleum flooring in the past and I'm thinking that the outlook on sparing the floor is pretty bleak… but, maybe somebody has a trick?

Heat gun? Clothes iron on a wet towel?

Sorry I just do not see that happening unless it was just perimeter glued which is not likely.
