Laminate over tile

Hi all,
Im installing 10MM laminate with a 2MM attached pad over my existing tile. I'm currently removing all the baseboard that was tiled up against. This leaves a gap between the tile and drywall, which is about 1/2"wide x 3x8" deep down to the concrete foundation.
Should i fill it in with anything before laying my laminate? The below tile grade portion
It would seem like a future ant highway if i leave it hollow.

Also, is there any concern with continuing laminate between 3 rooms without using t-moulding between the spaces? total length between the 3 spaces 52'x14' across at its widest point?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm considering doing t-mouldings between the Family room/kitchen and Family room/entry Hall

Re: Laminate over tile

The gap? Fill with caulk if you wish----no harm done.

The manufacturer will have a spec on how long of a run is safe---I've done 35 feet without an issue--but I have also seen buckling when the floor did not have proper expansion space---I have not done a lot of laminate---but I do leave a good sized gap under the base and shoe -(1/2" to 3/4") and under cut door jambs so the goods don't bind up at a doorway.
