Laminate with foam pad on top of underlayment?

As the title suggests, maybe an easy question but is there any reason to not lay laminate with attached pad on top of underlayment? I removed the laminate floor I had in a room due to a water leak. Now that I've found a replacment floor that has attached pad under it. Half the room still has a 2 in 1 underlayment & vapor barrier that wasn't damaged. I'm thinking should I remove that underlayment and place only a vapor barrier or just cover the rest of the room in the same 2 in 1 underlayment and place the new floor on top?

I'd hate to make a mistake that would cost me to have to pull up the floor at a later date to correct.

Thanks for your assistance.

No expert here, but I would remove the old underlayment and, if you need one (check your instructions) add a new vapor barrier.

If you leave the old stuff, the floor will be too mushy and bouncy, and the joints may eventually fail.

Jtom is right, it needs to go.
You saw how easy it was destroyed and you still want laminate?
