Laminate floor with curved areas

Hello all

I would like to install a floating laminate floor (because it easy maintenance and seems like the easiest). I have done several DIY projects but haven't trying wood flooring yet. I plan to cover my entire 2nd floor w/ the same material.

I have few tricky areas that I have little idea on how to best approach them.

1) there is a small section that is facing an "open to below" area. There are some wood rails. It seems like any edge, we need to leave some gap for expansion, but that would be quite visible if it is not right against the sill plate. What is the right thing to do here?

2) there are built in cabinets in the hallway. How should the flooring be installed along those item?

3) some of the stair steps are a bit curved. What kind of nose piece do we use for the edge? Can we use a straight piece then notch it to make it bend? The curve is not to strong. Do we work from the highest step to the lowest? I also don't see people using any cushion pad nor moisture barrier on stairs. Isn't it a problem?

4) Is it recommended to have one floating floor going seamlessly from rooms to rooms? I am concerned w/ the potential misalignment with the walls which are never 90 degree to each other. If not what is the best way to transition from room to hallway?

Many thanks

Pictures are going to be very helpful here for the flooring guys/gals to visualize what you are seeing.
