I agree with the last poster the sleeper brackets are the best way to go. you should also have a pitch on the deck itself of 4 deg, pitching away from the house. you could have solved it before the rubber went down. now it will be more difficult or more expensive or both. you should always consult a local professional that has a good reputation with the building department of your local town. if not a building department recommendation make sure you are comfortable with your builder knowledge and ability. many claim to be builders and just swing a hammer and some don't even do that.
