Hardwood repair

Hi all. My family and I are going to put our house on the market soon. We would like to repair some damage to the hardwood floor in the second story bedroom. There is a series of dimples roughly 1" in diameter and 3/8" deep where the bed used to sit. These are unsightly and we would like to see to it that they are repaired. Can anyone recommend a technique to rid the floor of them. Also we haven't been in the house for over a year and the dimples have become discolored in that time. We would like to sell the house as soon as we can as it has become too expensive to pay for 2 houses while we only live in one.

Damage that deep will require that the damaged boards get cut out and replaced and the floor sanded and refinished.

The bed was dropped from a height of 3 to 6 feet, and sometimes with great downward force. This happened about 4 to 6 times in succession. What can be done to remedy this situation?
