Flooring "match"

When I bought my place in '15 they had redone flooring in the den, dining and hallway to a decent hardscraped bamboo, pretty dark and neutral toned. Flipper put carpet in the 2 bedrooms and office, and tile in the bath and kitchen and carport entry. Lots of flooring transitions now, none really hazardous or hideous since they're different areas with natural separations and different materials.

Assume that I don't have any plans to move/sell in the coming years. Also assume that I have a very badly behaved dog that likes to mark carpet, but is well behaved on hard surfacing. For budget concerns, I would rather not rip out the tile and hardwood for several years. Going to re-stain the tile grout this fall, the bamboo is not objectionable and it'd be a waste to get rid of at present.

I want to be rid of the carpeting. It's nasty and was cheap in the first place. Pried up a corner in the office - it looks like the parquet beneath is cheap veneer glued to blocks type, a completely different color family (and not one I like).

Would you install a completely different wood flooring in your bedrooms and office? Would you consider painting the parquet, maybe something even really cool and laborious like this? Also assume I can paint and refinish, but have never laid floor, and would therefore want to hire someone for such a task.

I have found the handscraped bamboo to be a very good surface under the paws of our dawgs. They haven't scratched it in over 5 or so years. I would try to find compatible flooring and just do breadboard transitions at the doorways or use transition strips, which will become innocuous in time.

I'll try to take some pics of the corner I pried up, but frankly I'm just so fed up with the carpet that hideous parquet may be preferable until I can find similar/same bamboo - might be what I do in a few weeks.
I suppose I will ultimately try to match-ish the bamboo, you're right about that chandler, it really is very durable so far - just wish they had picked a lighter color, since every strand of dog hair shows lol!
Do folks use different colors/board widths in different rooms (bedrooms, office) when they can't exactly match?
Can bamboo hardscrape potentially be refinished to match new flooring, or is that just silly to wonder about?

Handscraped bamboo is not refinishable, but it has a 50 year warranty, soooooo !! Yes different sizes and different color variations and styles are used as long at the break comes at the middle of the door. You don't want light skinny flooring showing on the side of the door with dark wide flooring. I wouldn't make the color too transitional as it may be odd, but that's to your liking. Finding similarly built and thickness in the flooring is important.

Yeah, no scratches on ours, but we could build a new dog with all the dog hair :)
