Floating floor threshold terminates mid-run

Any good advice how to deal with the ends of the thresholds that are needed at the sill of a sliding door?

On either side of the door the new floorboards will tuck under the baseboards (with appropriate gap), but across the face of the door I need the thresholds. These should terminate at the door molding, and not run the length of the room (i.e., not run them past the door on either side), but this leaves the hard edges sticking up on either side of the door. Should I mitre a small pieces on the ends? Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance to all those with experience here.

The new flooring is floating, click-lock, solid bamboo. In the photo you see the cork underlayment. Thanks.

The size of the slider either 10' or 12' maybe a problem.?
What is the height difference between the cork flooring and the top of the threshold.?
The flooring should run length wise with the door.
If anything, I'm thinking matching quarter round.?
