drop lock laminate flooring clicks

I installed drop lock laminate a couple months ago, now when I walk on it I can feel the pieces shift and it clicks with almost every step, I don't really care too much as I'm moving to a new place tomorrow, but just wondering did I install them too tight or too lose? Or is it just a symptom of the drop lock? I've installed the angle angle a few times before and never had this clicking issue.

The floor you installed them on was probably not flat.Or you bought some low quality flooring.

What did you use for an underlayment?
What was it laid over.
Did you make the mistake of just trying to lower it into place in one motion without working it up and down as it went into place to get it fully locked?
I also follow up by tapping along the piece with a white dead blow hammer to make sure it settled into place.
As your tapping you can see any tiny gaps disappear.

I used the cheapest underlay I could find,it's laid on a plywood floor that isn't completely level. But not too bad, it's a 14mm laminate but it was cheap, 1$ square ft it was a special order at home depot.
