Basement floor or the saga of over slab and under grade questions

We want a wood look floor in our basement and I think I found just the stuff for the job but I am looking for some feedback.

I plan to use this http://www.homedepot.com/p/DMX-1-STE...specifications for the underlayment and was going to go against my better judgement and use engineered wood and hope for the best...

Then I came across this http://www.homedepot.com/p/Home-Lege...5yc1vZbzjzZ29k Has anyone used this product? Any information on the look of this? Does it wear well? Any particular difficulties installing it?

My other question is about using a product such as Drylok. About half of the basement will be finished floor, and half will remain as exposed concrete. I was thinking of using Drylok on the slab underneath the finished section to further prevent moisture buildup under the underlayment. My thought was to leave the unfinished area free of Drylok for no reason other than saving some $$ on Drylok. Anyone have thoughts on this good, bad or otherwise?

Thanks,

Don
