Kids Popsicle launcher - DAD DIY

(disclaimer) So I can not post a link to the video of how I did this project due to forum rules, so the pics are screenshots in reference to this project.

At least every other week I try to do a DIY project with my 4yr old son, and this week was the "Popsicle Launcher" (that's what I'm calling it lol)

My son loves this thing and helped a bit with the project.

Here you go:

Items used:

1.Soldering kit
2.Electric tape
3.Glue gun
4.Popsicle sticks x 4
5.Cutters
6.9V Battery
7.DC motor
8.Snap connectors
9.SPST switch

1.
connected one lead from the battery snap connector to one end of the switch. every connection was soldered. i had another scrap wire that i connected to the other connection on the switch. it should look like this

2.
then connect and eventually solder the to leads in the previous step to the DC motor.

3.
take 2 popsicle sticks and arrange/glue them to the battery and motor in this sandwich like arrangement.

4.
a 3rd popsicle stick hold the switch in this manner. i used more glue to hold this together.

5.
i eventually used electrical tape on the batt and motor to ensure they stay put and cut off some protrusions.

6.
the propeller...i had a small screwdriver with roughly the same size as the shaft of the dc motor. i made the hole by heating the screwdriver up (candle) and poking thru the popsicle stick. (bcs i like to play with fire)

7.
twist the propsicle (prop+pop) sorry not that funny :/

8.
then go outside and HAVE FUN!!!!!!!

I know it's a simple project but it's easy enough to get the little ones involved.

Obviously, it's a flying popsicle stick so be careful with the eyes.

ENJOY!!!

I had a link up to my channel but I was told it was considered ad. I didn't want to break the rules.

A video of that thing working isn't an ad in my opinion if its relative to that.

Let's give it a try

Anyone else reading this if this is against the rules please don't ban me. Just simply delete the link and I promise I won't post any more links to my YT account. I'm still new and trying to figure out without stepping on too many toes.

You can put a link to your channel in the signature line. Just like 'Windows on Washington' has a link to his business below the line. You just can't put those type of links in the post itself.

You can post all of the videos you want here as long as you're not selling anything and keep it PG13.
