Top Load GE Washer Won’t Spin

Washer fills with water
Agitation working
Water Drains

NO SPIN

So far I have

Removed the timer switch Dial and confirmed that it is properly seated and working.

Removedthe front cover and made sure the air line that controls the water shut off and signals when the tub is empty is working. It looks clear and when I blow air into it I hear an audible click.

Belt appears in good condition and Properly installed on the pulleys.

The motor shaft rotates freely counter clockwise but does not move rotated clockwise

What should I check for next? What is likely not working here?

Thanks very much

Re: Top Load GE Washer Won’t Spin

Check out video from repairclinic.com.

It lists 6 major causes. I will add, also check all wires/molex connections first, sometimes it's an easy fix like a loose or pinch wire in the control panel.

Once again if you need help with testing of parts, etc., go to website and type in your full model number. They have excellent how to videos.
