Pump recommendations to flush electric tankless heater

I searched for this and came across a thread from 2018. I attempted to reply, but it's too old.

That thread suggested this pump, and it appears to be a good choice.

1. Is it possible to get a pump that is too powerful and can damage the heater?

2. Is it a good idea to turn off the breaker to the heater while the rinse is happening? There's no need or point in heating up the vinegar, right? Plus, it would save some $ on the electric bill.

3. The hose size should be standard, right? The specs for my model show:
Pipe fittings: 1/2 Compression. So I should get 1/2" female and a X" to match the pump fitting. That pump shows 1.25" fitting but includes a 3/4 hose adapter.
