Question

Kenmore Dishwasher Heating Element

In reference to Kenmore Dishwasher model 665.13742K600 is the heating element used to heat the water, dry the dishes or both? The water level does not quite reach the element and I trying to determine if this is normal or not.

If your dishwasher has a sanitize cycle then the answer would be both. The element is used to dry the dishes, but often there is a "power saver" switch/cycle that does not use the heating element for drying.
