Gas oven warm?

I used my oven yesterday, this morning it’s very warm. I guess it never
completely shut down from yesterday...It’s a convection
gas oven with a electric warming drawer. (i’ve never used the warming drawer)

The warming drawer and the oven are both off. There is no gas flame
inside the bottom of the oven...
yet, the oven is very warm - however, only on the inside top of the oven.
the bottom is cool to the touch...the warming draw is cool as well.

What is causing this? Everything is on the off position.

We are going to unplug the oven now, wait until it completely cools down
then plug it back in.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Re: Gas oven warm?

Thanks for your responding Leslie...

What we did was unplug the stove for a few hours
until it completely cooled down, then plugged it back
in, and it solved the problem.

The only thing that we can attribute this occurrence to is
that I had the oven on during a rain storm and the power
surged for several seconds - maybe it threw off the digital
stuff??? donno...

Anyhow, thankfully, itís been working fine ever since this first happened.

Re: Gas oven warm?

While we wait for the appliance pros, if you can post make and model and age it will help. Not a high confidence level that the original cause has gone away for good. Electronics can be damaged by power surges, like contacts tacking together, but yours weren't on at the time.

Watch the normal cool down time to be sure what you discovered is really not normal.

Re: Gas oven warm?

When you remove the power and reestablish it that reboots the control board. Didnít really have much info to go on so I didnít reply. If you donít have any more issues I wouldnít worry about it. If you do post a model number
