I'm looking to buy a used front load washer, and someone on Craigslist has an LG listed as a "handyman special." The ad said the water level sensor has gone bad, otherwise the unit works well. I asked for additional detail, like how the issue manifests, and was told "with clothes in the washer the unit never reaches the rinse or spin cycle and eventually water comes through the door. However with no clothes in the unit it runs the cycle normally."
Does the water level pressure switch seem like a reasonable guess at the culprit, based on the observation above?
A switch seems to run under $20 on eBay. Next cheapest such washer on CL is $150 more than this person is asking.
