FFRE12L3S10 Frigidaire Window Air Conditioner issue

Hello, all,

I have a FFRE12L3S10 Frigidaire Air Conditioner that just started acting very odd. Last night it switched (by itself) to 60 degrees and the front control panel is completely inoperable. No switches or settings work at all and the only way to shut it down is t0 unplug. My guess is the controller board is shot somewhere and I DID notice it was damp.

Has anyone had anything similar happen? It's now 2 years old (1 year warranty of course!), but I still contacted Frigidaire (Electrolux) to see what they can tell me. I do not see any parts lists online for this specific part, just the usual replacement parts like louvers and such.

Any help would be appreciated as to replace or diagnose the board.

A few pics for you of the actual board and side panel information.

Thanks,
Dave

Re: FFRE12L3S10 Frigidaire Window Air Conditioner issue

I had same problem with Frigidaire ac window unit. Died the second year. If you buy one, only advice I can give is get the extended waranty.

Unfortunately, they are throw a ways. It's the world we live in now. I'm sure there is a hack to get it working again, but I don't know of any. Try googling, there are always utube videos of hacks.

Would need to change the board, but good luck finding one.

Mechanical control units are probably more reliable.
