This disposal is loud and obnoxious....is it plumbed correctly?

When turned on it throws water and scraps out of the other sink bowl(right side), which is pretty yucky.
I'm going to replace the DW and while I'm at it will replace this POS disposal (Waste King), so I have two questions:
1) how would you plumb the new one to prevent the gushing from the other sink bowl, and
2) What disposal would you recommend that is quiet and effective?

The wrong tee us being used. You need a diverter (or baffle) tee. I recommend In-sinkarator but not the Badger series.

That makes sense. Would you think that the following photo would work as well? Just a bit more material and work:

It would work, but what a convoluted drain set up. Sending the lateral arm back into the wall a little and using a straight tailpiece into the trap would be neater with less restrictions. In the first picture the dishwasher drain needs to be looped up to the top of the cabinet and fastened in place so as to create an air gap in the line.

G]

Did you check to see if you dropped a dish rag or something down it?

Not sure I follow?

You're right, thanks!

Hard to describe better. See picture to eliminate the 45 degree angles, possibly.

Got it! The author of that photo indicated that the 45's were there to quiet the water from dropping straight down. This way the water hits the wall of the pipe instead of the water in bottom of the trap.
